This remarkable book effortlessly bridges the gap between traditional Islamic teachings and the complexities of the modern world. With its easy-to-read style and relatable examples,
it serves as a guiding light for Muslims seeking to navigate their faith in today’s context. The author’s deep understanding of both timeless principles and contemporary challenges ensures that readers will find practical wisdom and inspiration on every page. A must-read for anyone looking to strengthen their connection with their faith while embracing the realities of our rapidly changing world.
This book is a must have if you are searching for purpose in life, the reality of this world, God, and what is to come in the afterlife. Enlightening and thought provoking!
This book offers a contemporaneously cultured and refreshing new way of perceiving life in this world as a test. The book’s title however, is a little misleading.
It is not an afterlife manual per se, but rather a toolkit (of knowledge and perception) to help achieve desirable results (Paradise) in the hereafter. The book covers concepts such as faith, conviction and righteous deeds, asbāb/means, cause and effect relationships that can lead to shirk, the importance of negation, to remain steadfast in order to increase the nur/light within self, and the significance of time. The latter concept, time, is quite thought provoking. The author challenges the reader to analyse time as a separate reality. This world is described as a Divine Matrix, which is encrypted. The key to encryption is The Truth (tawhid), a testimony of faith. So in essence, seeing is not believing, but knowing is believing, as the author explains: “Eman is to negate basar and affirm khabar” (pp. 56). I did question whether or not I would be able to understand this way of thinking, but it has been explained well and provides ample food for thought. In sum, this afterlife manual is a modern take on core Islamic teachings but explained in a manner that, in my opinion, will engage the younger audience more. This book is captivating and brings into question how you perceive the world and its reality.
